Denison Police


Assault — A victim reported being assaulted Oct. 3 in the 100 block of East Florence. The victim stated that while serving civil process to an individual, the suspect slammed the front door of the residence on the foot of the victim, causing pain and injury. The case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Assault — An officer responded Oct. 1 to a disturbance in the 1000 block of West Ford. A female victim stated she and her boyfriend had been arguing and he assaulted her by throwing a chair at her, pushing her down, hitting her with a closed fist and kicking her. The suspect then fled the scene. The case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Disturbance — An officer was dispatched Oct. 1 to the call of a disturbance at Sears and Armstrong. A female victim stated she was assaulted by a relative who headbutted her. When she attempted to call 911, the suspect grabbed the phone out of her hand and threw it to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene. The investigation will continue and a case will be presented to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Possession — Officers responded Oct. 2 to a call of a suspicious person in the 3000 block of Texoma Drive. A male suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Terroristic threat/assault — An officer was dispatched Oct. 2 to the 1300 block of West Shepherd in reference to an assault. A female victim stated that her boyfriend assaulted her by striking her on both sides of her face. The suspect fled the scene and then started sending her threatening text messages. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded Oct. 2 to a call reporting a man in the 3100 block of Regency Lane advising that he was going to kill someone. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Burglary of a habitation — A female victim stated Oct. 2 that a suspect(s) removed several items, including electronics and jewelry, from her residence in the 1200 block of West Crawford. During the investigation that followed, all items except for an Xbox and some jewelry were recovered in a vacant house nearby. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded Oct. 2 to the call of a suspicious person in the 1200 block of South Armstrong. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Assault — A female victim reported Oct. 3 that her juvenile boyfriend assaulted her by striking her. The suspect then fled on foot. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County Juvenile Probation Department.


Sherman Police


Unlawful carrying weapon — A traffic stop was conducted Oct. 2 near the 200 block of West Taylor Street. An investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.


Assault — Officers responded Oct. 2 to a disturbance in the 3000 block of Northridge Drive. Persons involved in the disturbance claimed an assault. An offense report was completed.


Theft — An officer was dispatched Oct. 2 to the 3400 block of North Rex Cruse Drive in reference to a theft. Upon arrival and investigation, a report was generated for theft of material aluminum/bronze/copper/brass less than $20,000.


Credit/debit card abuse — A male victim entered the police department lobby Oct. 2 to report a fraudulent charge on his credit card. Upon investigation, it was determined an unknown person(s) had used his credit card to make a large purchase out of state. A report was generated for credit card or debit card abuse.


Driving while license invalid — An officer conducted a traffic stop Oct. 2 in the 2500 block of North U.S. Highway 75 for defective equipment. The driver had a suspended driver’s license and was operating a motor vehicle without insurance. A report for driving while license invalid with previous convictions was generated.


Assault — Dispatch received a 911 call Oct. 2 in reference to a disturbance in the 300 block of Archer Drive. The caller advised his girlfriend invited her ex-husband to their residence to stay the night. The ex agreed to leave and after doing so, the female pushed her boyfriend. The female was arrested for assault by contact family member and transported to the Grayson County Jail.


Possession — Officers were patrolling in the 200 block of Archer Drive when they located a male who was in possession of marijuana and dab oil. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Grayson County Jail.
