Forgery — An officer met with a female complainant Sept. 19 in the police department lobby. She stated that an unknown suspect(s) forged checks to obtain funds from her account. A report was filed for forgery of financial instrument. The case is under investigation.
Assault — Officers were dispatched Sept. 19 to the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller who, after being asked questions about the incident, denied wanting to make a report. A report for assault causes injury/family violence was generated.
Burglary — Officers responded Sept. 19 to the report of a burglary in the 4300 block of Loy Lake Road. From their investigation they learned that various lawn maintenance items had been stolen. A report for burglary of a building was generated.
Theft — A female victim entered the police department lobby Sept. 19 to report that her phone was stolen in the 1900 block of Heritage Parkway. Officers spoke with the complainant and learned that her phone had been stolen the night before at a local restaurant. A report was generated for theft of property from $750-2,500.
Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched Sept. 19 to the 100 block of West Houston in response to a report of criminal mischief. The caller advised that when they returned to their car, the back window had been broken. Evidence was collected at the scene and a report for criminal mischief was created.
Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call Sept. 29 to report a vehicle being driven all over the roadway with the driver suspected of being intoxicated. The vehicle was located and stopped, and an investigation was conducted. The male driver was determined to be intoxicated and found to have had a previous DUI conviction in Oklahoma. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
Burglary of building — Officers were dispatched Sept. 29 to the burglary of a building in the 1300 block of South Crockett Street. Upon arrival, they learned that the detached garage to a residence had been burglarized during the night and personal items had been stolen. A report was generated.
Accident involving damage — Dispatch received a call Sept. 29 in reference to a noise disturbance in the 800 block of East Chaffin Street. After the disturbance was addressed, a citizen reported his vehicle was hit while he was sitting in it, as it was parked in the street. A report was taken for accident involving damage to vehicle greater than or equaling $200.
Theft — Dispatch received a call Sept. 30 in reference to a theft in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 82. Prior to officer arrival, the suspect left the scene in a white vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the area and arrested a male suspect for theft of property less than $2,500 with 2 previous convictions. He was taken to the Grayson County Jail.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer conducted a traffic stop Sept. 30 in the 100 block of South Baker Park Drive. The male driver of the vehicle was suspected of being intoxicated. After an investigation was completed, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Unauthorized use of vehicle — Police responded Sept. 30 to a residence in the 1800 block of West Washington Street, in reference to a stolen vehicle. An investigation revealed that a female known by the male victim, took his vehicle without his consent. A report was generated for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Assault — Dispatch received a call Sept. 30 in reference to an assault in the 2200 block of North Travis Street. An officer arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. He learned an adult claimed a juvenile had pushed her, which she found offensive. A report was generated for assault by contact family member.
Information report — Dispatch received an anonymous call Sept. 30 in reference to a disturbance in the 2600 block of North Hickory Street. An officer arrived on scene and spoke with several involved parties. He determined no offense had been committed. An information report was generated for documentation purposes.
Assault — Dispatch received a call Oct. 1 in reference to an assault in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway. Officers responded and learned through their investigation that one male had punched another male. A report for assault causing bodily injury was filed.
Information report — Officers were dispatched Sept. 30 to a suspicious person call in the 2900 block of East U.S. Highway 82. Two unknown males were reported to be in a vehicle on the side of the road with a firearm inside. An information report was generated.
Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched Oct. 1 to the 500 block of West Lamar Street in reference to an intoxicated person. The female suspect was located and arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
