Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call on Sept. 2 reporting a possible intoxicated driver in the 2500 block of North U.S. Highway 75. Officers were dispatched, and they located the suspected vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Criminal trespass — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 2 to the 700 block of South Maxey in reference to a suspicious person. Officers located the female suspect in the 1000 block of East Odneal and learned that she had a criminal trespass warning for the property. The suspect was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
Assault — An officer responded on Sept. 2 to the report of an assault in the 1100 block of West Pecan. The victim reported being pushed by the suspect, which was offensive contact. A report was completed for assault by contact.
Theft — Dispatch received a call on Sept. 2 in reference to a car burglary. The female victim stated that items were stolen out of her vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 3300 block of Town Center. A report was taken for theft of property from $2,500-$30,000.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was conducted on Sept. 3 in the 700 block of North Sam Rayburn Freeway. The female driver of the vehicle was suspected of being intoxicated. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was determined to be intoxicated. The suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Theft — A female victim called dispatch Sept. 3 to report a stolen license plate. She stated that the rear license plate on her vehicle had been stolen the night before.
Possession — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 5 at the intersection of Summit and Willow. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for local warrants and taken to the Grayson County Jail. Once at the jail, staff found contraband concealed in the suspect’s clothing. Additional charges were filed against the suspect.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was made Sept. 5 in the 2900 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The female driver of the vehicle was suspected of being intoxicated. After an investigation was completed, the driver was determined to be intoxicated. The suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Assault — An officer was dispatched Sept. 5 to a hotel in the 3600 block of South Highway 75 in response to a disturbance between a girlfriend and boyfriend. Upon officer arrival, the female stated that her boyfriend intentionally pulled her hair while arguing over a cellphone. A report for assault causes bodily injury/family violence was generated.
Theft — An officer was speaking on Sept. 5 to a male who was reported to be intoxicated in the parking lot of the 4100 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The male advised he was waiting for a friend. The female friend exited from a store and was found to be in possession of stolen property from the store. She further possessed stolen property in her vehicle, all of which totalled less than $750. She was arrested for theft of property from $100-$750.
Reckless damage — An officer responded on Sept. 7 to a business in the 500 block of West Lamar Street in reference to damage to a water/air compressor machine. It appeared the machine had been struck by a vehicle which had left the scene. A report for reckless damage was filed.
Theft — An officer was dispatched Sept. 7 to the police department lobby in reference to a theft. The male victim stated that the tailgate on his vehicle was stolen in the 600 block of South Throckmorton. A report was generated for theft of property from $750-$2,500.
Debit/credit card abuse — An officer was dispatched Sept. 7 to the police department lobby in response to a report of fraud. A male victim stated that his debit card information had been fraudulently used. A report was generated for credit card or debit card abuse.
Theft — A female victim stated on Sept. 7 that she had previously purchased a vehicle from her cousin. Three weeks after the purchase, the vehicle was repossessed by a car company. The victim learned that her cousin had not owned the vehicle and could not sell the vehicle. A report was filed for theft of property from $750-$2,500.
Fraud — An officer was dispatched Sept. 7 to a business in the 400 block of East U.S. Highway 82. Upon arrival, the officer learned that Asset Protection Associates had detained a male for under-ringing merchandise by placing lessor valued bar codes over the higher valued bar codes on merchandise. A report was taken for fraud destroy removal concealment writing. The investigation is ongoing.
Assault — Officers responded Sept. 7 to a disturbance in the the 1200 block of North Woods. It was found that a male suspect had been in an argument with his mother. During the argument, the suspect pushed his mother several times, offending her. A report was filed for assault by contact family member.
