The North Texas Municipal Water District is advising motorists in Fannin County to be prepared for possible traffic delays from Wednesday to Friday as crews work to build the new FM 897 bridge over the future Bois d’Arc Lake.

In an emailed press release distributed Tuesday, the organization said 45 support beams will be delivered by tractor trailer and may result in delays on State Highway 82 at CR 2915, along FM 897 and north of CR 2915, and on CR 2945, north of Lannius to Bois d’Arc Creek. The daily deliveries are expected to take place between the midday and early evening hours.

The project is meant to establish a 1.3-mile long bridge over the soon-to-be Bois d’Arc Lake and enable north-south traffic flow across the body of water.
