The board of directors of the Sherman Economic Development Corp. will discuss the organization’s budget for the upcoming 2018-2019 fiscal year, as well as its program of work, during its regular meeting Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at the SEDCO office, 307 W. Washington St., Suite 102.


After considering the program of work and budget for approval, the SEDCO board will also review the organization’s program of work results for the current fiscal year. Following that, the board will go into a closed, executive session to discuss seven economic development projects and real property on eight other projects. The board will also discuss personnel matters during the executive session, which may be related to the ongoing search for a new president, following the retirement of former President John Plotnik and Executive Vice President Frank Gadek earlier this year.


Following the executive session, the board will return to an open meeting to take any actions deemed necessary and to receive an economic barometer report and business retention and expansion update from SEDCO staff.
