Texas Department of Public Safety troopers said a woman sustained only minor injuries Thursday after she lost control of her vehicle in Sherman and rolled down an embankment.

DPS Trooper Michael Landeros said the female driver was traveling south on Travis Street at approximately 10:15 a.m. when she took evasive action for an unknown reason, overcorrected and veered off the roadway at Travis Street’s intersection with Kerr Chapel Road. The vehicle rolled and came to a rest on its side in a ditch several feet below the roadway. No other vehicles are thought to be involved.

Landeros said the woman was evaluated at the scene, but was not hospitalized. It wasn’t immediately clear whether there were any other passengers in the vehicle or if the driver would be cited. The crash remains under investigation.
