Prohibited weapon — An officer was dispatched on Aug. 13 to the 1000 block of South Walnut Street to investigate the selling of stolen property. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that the male suspect had an outstanding warrant. He also had a pair of brass knuckles on his person. The suspect was arrested for the warrant and the prohibited weapon knuckles.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers stopped a male driver on Aug. 8 for running a red light in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway. An investigation was completed and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Accident involving damage to vehicle — Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Heritage Parkway in reference to a hit and run. It was determined that the suspect struck the victim’s vehicle and failed to leave information. A report for an accident involving damage to a vehicle greater than $200 was generated.
Theft of property — The male complainant contacted the public safety administrator on Aug. 8 to report that an unknown suspect(s) were stealing property at a construction site in the 200 block of Hilre Drive in Sherman.
Burglary of a vehicle — Dispatch received a call on Aug. 9 reporting the burglary of a motor vehicle in the 3600 block of U.S. Highway 75. An officer was dispatched to the scene and a report for burglary of a motor vehicle was generated. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft of property — A female made contact on Aug. 10 with the public safety administrator to report property stolen from a business located in the 4100 block of Town Center Street. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was filed.
Terroristic threat — Dispatch was contacted on Aug. 13 by a concerned parent. The parent advised that her juvenile son had made some comments about harming another juvenile that alarmed her. An offense report was completed and the case is under investigation.
Assault with deadly weapon — Officers were dispatched on Aug. 14 to the 800 block of North Travis Street in response to a disturbance. Upon officer arrival, they discovered that someone had been assaulted with a knife. The Criminal Investigations Division was brought onto the scene. After an investigation was conducted, a male suspect was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Outstanding warrant/possession — A vehicle was stopped on Aug. 8 for a traffic violation in the 500 block of West Murray. A male was arrested for an outstanding city of Denison warrant. A female was arrested for possession of controlled substance and possession of dangerous drugs.
Theft — Store personnel stated on Aug. 13 that a female suspect concealed multiple items in a purse in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75 and went past the last point of sale without paying for the merchandise. The suspect was arrested for theft under $100.

Domestic disturbance — Officers responded on Aug. 13 to the call of a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of North 8th. The female victim stated her juvenile daughter was breaking plates in the street and also assaulted and threatened her. The juvenile was taken into custody for terroristic threat/family violence.
Assault — Officers responded on Aug. 14 to the call of an assault occurring in the 900 block of West Wilde. The female victim stated she confronted a male at her residence about drug usage and he assaulted her with a closed fist and by choking her. The suspect left the scene prior to officers arriving. The investigation will continue and the case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office.
Assault — Officers were dispatched on Aug. 14 to the 800 block of West Morton in response to a disturbance. Two suspects got into an argument about their prior relationship and assaulted each other. Both were arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
Possession — Officers responded on Aug. 15 to the call of a man who would not wake up, lying in the entrance to an apartment complex in the 1800 block of North State Highway 91. The suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs.
Threats — A female victim stated on Aug. 15 that her ex-boyfriend made threats to do her bodily harm. The investigation will continue.
