Criminal mischief — Officers responded on June 25 to a disturbance in the 600 block of Patricia Drive. A female had damaged property at the residence and was using offensive language in public. A report was generated for criminal mischief from $100-$750 and disorderly conduct, so the suspect was arrested.
Assault —Officers responded on June 24 to a disturbance in the 200 block of North Woods Street. The female complainant stated she was assaulted by her husband. After conducting an investigation, the officers arrested the husband and transported him to the Grayson County Jail. A report was generated for assault causing bodily injury family member/impede breath.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was conducted on June 24 near the 400 block of South Elm Street. An investigation was conducted, and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Found property — A citizen reported finding property on June 24 on the side of the road in the 1800 block of West Hunt Street and brought it to police headquarters. The property was secured in an evidence locker until the owner could be located and a found property report completed.
Burglary of a building — An officer was dispatched on June 27 to the 200 block of South Montgomery Street in reference to a burglary. The suspect made entry into a restaurant by using a crowbar to pry open the front door. The suspect stole $700 in electronic equipment and $100 cash. The investigation is ongoing.
Accident involving damage to vehicle — Officers were dispatched on June 27 to the Sherman Police Department in reference to a follow-up. The victim advised she had obtained suspect information in a hit and run report. A report for accident involving damage equal to or greater than $200 was taken. The investigation is ongoing.
Possession — An officer conducted a traffic stop on June 27 in the 2400 block of East Graystone Road. The vehicle did not come to a stop until reaching the 2600 block of Village Drive. After the officer spoke with the female driver, a search was made of the vehicle and contraband was found. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
Reckless damage — An officer responded on June 27 to a two vehicle accident on private property in the 300 block of North Heritage Parkway. The officer learned that one vehicle had backed into another in the parking lot. The officer generated a report for reckless damage.
Public intoxication — Officers responded on June 26 to the call of a disturbance in the 4100 block of Texoma Parkway. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on June 26 to the 1800 block of Loy Lake Road in reference to a man pulling on the front door of a residence. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Theft — A male victim stated on June 26 that an unknown suspect(s) stole a riding lawn mower, 10 foot trailer and log chain from underneath his carport in the 300 block of West Heron.
Counterfeit currency — A female complaint stated on June 26 that she received a $10 bill as change from a local store and later discovered it to be counterfeit.
Burglary of a habitat — A male complainant stated on June 26 that someone entered his residence in the 700 block of East Hanna and stole some clothing and damaged other property. Officers will be following up on leads.
Theft — A complainant reported on June 27 that someone stole a water heater from a vacant residence in the 100 block of East Munson.
Public intoxication — An officer observed on June 27 a female attempting to open the back door of a business in the 500 block of West Main. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
