Terroristic threat/family violence — Officers responded on June 19 to a disturbance in the 1600 block of West Walker. A male juvenile was taken into custody for terroristic threat/family violence after threatening to do harm to his mother.
Fugitive from justice — A vehicle was stopped on June 18 for a traffic violation in the 1300 block of South Austin. A male suspect was arrested for an outstanding parole violation warrant and failure to identify/fugitive from justice. A female suspect was arrested for several outstanding Grayson County warrants and failure to identify/fugitive from justice.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on June 15 to the call of a vehicle leaving the roadway in the 2200 block of Eisenhower Parkway and going into a tree line. A male suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated second offense.
Possession — An officer was dispatched on June 15 to the 200 block of South FM 1417 in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, he located a female under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation, the female admitted she had marijuana in her purse. The suspect also was found to be in possession of prescription medication, which was not prescribed to her. She was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and possession of a dangerous drug.
Possession — An officer observed suspicious activity on June 15 in the 1600 block of North Harrison Avenue. He observed a male standing next to a car with four occupants inside. A black and silver box that had been pushed beneath the vehicle was observed beside the standing suspect. The officer saw contraband inside the box. After speaking to all individuals involved, the officer arrested the suspect for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
Assault — Dispatch received a call on June 16 reporting an assault in progress in the 1600 block of Vietnam Veterans Parkway. Officers arrived on scene and upon investigation determined that a male suspect had assaulted his common law wife. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
Driving while license invalid — A vehicle was stopped on June 18 for a traffic violation in the 1600 block of South Austin. The male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced.
Theft — A male victim stated on June 18 that an acquaintance of his stole a cellphone and two video games from his residence. The phone was returned. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.
Outstanding warrants — A vehicle was stopped on June 19 for a traffic violation at the intersection of Armstrong and Montgomery. The male driver was arrested for several outstanding city of Denison warrants.
Possession — A vehicle was stopped on June 19 for a traffic violation in the 1100 block of South Crockett. The driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Possession/no insurance — A vehicle was stopped on June 19 for a traffic violation in the 1400 block of West Morton. The male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and for having no insurance.
Theft — A female victim stated on June 15 that an unknown suspect(s) took a bicycle off her front porch in the 700 block of West Hull.
Theft/possession — Officers responded on June 15 to a call of alcohol being stolen from a convenience store in the 3300 block of South Woodlawn. Two juvenile suspects were located. Both were issued two court citations. A case will be presented to the Juvenile Probation Department on one of the juveniles for possession of marijuana.
Possession — Officers responded on June 15 to the call of a suspicious person attempting to enter a garage in the 1700 block of South Mirick. The male suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and possession of a controlled substance.
Criminal mischief — A female victim stated on June 15 that someone broke out a window in her vehicle in the 700 block of West Sears. She named a possible suspect, and the investigation will continue.
Burglary of a building — A victim stated on June 21 that an unknown suspect(s) entered his building in the 2100 block of FM 691 and stole cash.
Theft/fraud — A male victim stated on June 21 that he received calls from a person claiming to represent a wireless carrier and wanted to verify account passwords, which the victim did. A fraudulent transaction was then conducted on the victims’s account to purchase an iPhone. Officers will be following up on leads. Citizens are reminded that organizations will not need to verify passwords. They already have them.
Theft of services — A male complainant stated on June 21 that his company did some repair work for a business, which the business in now refusing to pay for. The investigation will continue.
