KINGSTON — A wreck on Roosevelt Bridge over Lake Texoma left two people dead Thursday afternoon, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper said the bridge, which is part of U.S. Highway 70, was closed following the wreck.

The Oklahoman reported, a car was on fire and a tractor-trailer had fallen off the bridge and was submerged in the lake.

Traffic in the area was diverted to State Highway 78, troopers said.
