Sherman Police said two women were injured, one of them seriously, Wednesday morning, following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Texoma Parkway and FM 691.

In an emailed statement distributed Wednesday, Sgt. Brett Mullen said emergency personnel responded to the scene shortly before 7:30 a.m. and determined that the two vehicles collided as the driver of a pickup, headed north on Texoma Parkway, attempted to turn left onto FM 691 and crossed paths with a southbound SUV on that roadway.

“The female driver of the red Chevrolet pickup was transported to TMC (Texoma Medical Center) with serious injuries,” Mullen said in the statement. “The female driver of the white Chevrolet SUV was transported to TMC with minor injuries. No names are being released at this time.”

No additional information regarding the crash or the women’s updated conditions was immediately available Wednesday afternoon. The crash remains under review by Sherman PD’s Critical Accident Investigation Team.
