Assault — Officers responded on April 6 to a disturbance in the 2200 block of North Hickory Street. During their investigation it was discovered that a woman had slapped her common-law husband in the face multiple times. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on April 10 to an accident where it was believed the male driver was intoxicated. They spoke with the driver and observed him to have red, watery eyes, slurred speech and instability on his feet. The officers conducted a field sobriety test and then arrested the suspect for driving while intoxicated second.
Possession —An officer observed on April 4 a suspicious vehicle in a city park in the 2500 block of West Center Street during closed hours. An investigation revealed one of the occupants to be in possession of a small amount of illegal narcotics. The narcotics were seized and the suspect was released. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.
Theft — An officer was dispatched on April 6 to a business in the 3800 block of Frisco Road. One of the trucks of the business was damaged and a report was taken for theft of property from $750-$2,500.
Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched on April 6 to the 600 block of North Kessler Boulevard. A suspect who had received a criminal trespass warning for being on a property was on the property again. A report was taken for criminal trespass and the suspect will be filed on at large.
Loud and disturbing noise — An officer was dispatched on April 7 to the 1200 block of South Willow in reference to a noise disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer heard loud music from the street. A female suspect was arrested for loud, disturbing and unnecessary noise.
Found property — Dispatch received a call on April 7 in reference to found property in the 300 block of South Travis Street. Upon officer arrival, the property was given to the officer. An attempt to locate the owner was unsuccessful and the property was collected for safekeeping. A report was generated.
Driving while license invalid — Officers stopped a vehicle on April 7 for a moving violation in the 2900 block of North U.S. Highway 75. It was discovered that the male’s driver’s license was invalid. The driver was issued a citation and arrested for driving with license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/no proof of financial responsibility.
Burglary — A female victim stated on April 4 that a suspect entered her unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of West Nelson and took some money. Officers will be following up on leads.
Threats — Officers responded on April 4 to a report of threats being made in the 1800 block of South Travis. A suspect was arrested for interference with public duties and another suspect was arrested for terroristic threat/family violence.
Theft — Store personnel stated on April 4 that a male entered the store, concealed merchandise under his hoodie and left the store without paying for it. The investigation will continue.
Criminal mischief — A complainant stated on April 6 that someone damaged some coin operated equipment at a car wash in the 3100 block of South Woodlawn. Officers will be following up on leads.
Theft — A complainant stated on April 6 that a suspect removed a catalytic converter from a customer’s vehicle while parked at his repair shop in the 3000 block of Loy Lake Road.
Identity theft — A female victim stated on April 6 that a suspect used her personal information in an attempt to open a line of credit.
Fraudulent use of identifying information — Victims stated on April 6 that a suspect used their social security numbers to file tax returns.
Assault — An officer responded on April 6 to a female victim in the 1200 block of Kawahee Lane. She stated that she was assaulted by a man who was having an altercation with someone else. The case has been referred to Municipal Court.
Disturbance — Officers responded on April 6 to the call of a disturbance in the 1100 block of Reba McEntire Lane. A male suspect was arrested for criminal trespass.
Disturbance — Officers responded on April 7 to the call of a disturbance at a nightclub in the 600 block of South Mirick. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Possession — A vehicle was stopped on April 8 for a traffic violation in the 200 block of West Heron. A male suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
Assault with deadly weapon — A female victim stated on April 8 that she and her husband got into a dispute. The suspect put their small child into his vehicle and then backed into her vehicle while leaving the residence. The investigation will continue with the case being forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.
Theft — A male victim stated on April 9 that someone took his flatbed trailer from a construction site in the 1200 block of West Morton. Officers will be following up on leads.
