Theft — Dispatch received a call on Jan. 9 from a male resident in the 1200 block of South Montgomery Street. The caller reported that his pet had been stolen from his backyard. The victim had paperwork valuing the animal at $11,000. A report for theft from $2,500-$30,000 was filed.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers stopped a vehicle on Jan. 10 for failure to stop at a stop sign in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license with previous convictions of driving while license invalid. The suspect was issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign and was placed under arrest for driving while license invalid/previous convictions.


Theft — The public service administrator was dispatched on Jan. 10 to the 1400 block of North Hoard in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the male complainant stated that a male suspect took his bicycle from his property. A report for theft was generated.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on Jan. 12 to the call of a possible drunken driver in the drive-thru of a restaurant in the 1100 block of South Austin. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on Jan. 12 in reference to an intoxicated person in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 75 North. Officers responded and arrested the male suspect for public intoxication.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Jan. 12 to the call of a suspicious person in the 2800 block of West Morton. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Burglary of a building — A complainant reported on Jan. 13 that a suspect removed a lock from the door of a barn and took a number of tools.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Jan. 13 for a traffic violation in the 200 block of West Munson. A male suspect was arrested for an outstanding Grayson County warrant and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.


Possession — While on patrol Jan. 14 in a city park, an officer heard an unusual noise coming from a residence in the 400 block of West Morgan. The officer located a male suspect sleeping on the front porch of an abandoned house. The suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


Possession/tampering with evidence — A vehicle was stopped on Jan. 14 for a traffic violation in the 800 block of West Texas. The male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and tampering with physical evidence.


Deadly conduct — A female complainant reported on Jan. 15 that she was walking in the 1700 block of South Hyde Park when a vehicle pulled up alongside her and a female in the vehicle pointed a handgun at her and then drove off. No shots were fired. Leads are being followed up on.


Criminal mischief — A male complainant reported on Jan. 16 that a suspect scratched the paint on his vehicle while parked at a local business in the 1100 block of South Austin. Officers are following up on leads.


Theft — A complainant stated on Jan. 16 that medication was missing from the medicine cabinet of a care facility in the 3000 block of West Crawford. Leads are being followed up on.


Theft — Officers responded on Jan. 16 to a male complainant in reference to a theft. He stated that a suspect stole an air compressor from his carport in the 600 block of East Texas.


Burglary of a building — A male complainant stated on Jan. 16 that a suspect entered his unlocked storage building in the 1300 block of Cole Drive and removed a hammer drill.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on Jan. 16 to the report of an intoxicated driver in the 500 block of South Armstrong The male suspect was arrested for outstanding City of Denison warrants and driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.


Suspicious person — Officers responded on Jan. 17 to a call reporting a suspicious person in the 500 block of West Chestnut. A male suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


Criminal mischief — A female complainant reported on Jan. 17 that a suspect broke out a window in her vehicle. Officers are following up on leads.


Pedestrian in the roadway — Officers responded on Jan. 17 to a call reporting a male walking in the roadway. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
