Two people were treated on the scene, but no one was transported after an early-morning fire in Denison Saturday.

The Denison Fire Department received a call at 6:30 a.m. reporting a structure fire at the Texoma Motel on Highway 91 North.

Denison Battalion Chief Aaron Mallory said there was one room of the motel involved in the fire. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation and one person was evaluated. No one was transported to a medical facility.

The American Red Cross was on hand to assist the eight people who were displaced due to the fire. No information regarding the cause of the fire is currently known. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
