The Sherman Police Department has released photos of a man wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store Thursday night.

In an email release issued Friday morning, the department said at approximately 10:30 p.m., a man entered the Ellis Shell gas station in the 200 block of South Sam Rayburn, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register.

The clerk complied with the suspect’s demand and was not injured. The suspect fled the scene on foot and could not be located by responding officers.

The release described the suspect as “armed and dangerous” and members of the public are advised not to approach the man.
