Theft of firearm — A complainant reported on Oct. 30 that a shotgun was missing from his business located in the 2600 block of West Morton. He named a possible suspect, and the investigation will continue.
Suspicious person — Officers responded on Nov. 29 to the call of a suspicious person on Smith Drive. The male suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Theft — Store personnel reported on Oct. 30 that a male suspect placed merchandise in a shopping cart, went to the self-checkout, scanned the items, then canceled the transaction and left the store in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 75 without paying. The investigation will continue.
Disorderly conduct — Officers responded to a call on Oct. 30 in reference to disorderly conduct in the 100 block East Harrison. They located the male suspect and arrested him for disorderly conduct.
Theft — A female victim stated on Oct. 31 that she secured her bicycle to a trail pole at Park Avenue and Waterloo Lake and went for a walk. When she returned, the bicycle was gone. There are no suspects at this time.
Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Nov. 1 for a traffic violation in the 1700 block of South Austin. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced.
Fight — Officers responded on Nov. 1 to a fight in the 100 block of MacArthur. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call on Nov. 2 that a vehicle had struck a pole. Officers responded and arrested a male suspect for driving while intoxicated/2nd.
Public intoxication — Officers responded on Nov. 2 to a call from a person saying that someone was wanting to harm him. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Burglary of a motor vehicle — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 27 to the 800 block of West Ellis Street in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. They determined that a truck was forced into and items of value were stolen. A report for burglary of a motor vehicle was filed.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 27 to the 2900 block of Dripping Springs Road in reference to a major accident. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital and a report for driving while intoxicated was generated.
Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 27 to the 1000 block of North Travis Street in reference to building damage. After investigating, they generated a report for criminal mischief from $100-$750.
Burglary of a building — Dispatch received a call on Oct 27 from a business owner in the 900 block of North Travis. He stated that when he arrived for work that day the front door had been smashed out. Officers responded and cleared the building. The owner entered the building and identified missing property. A report was generated and our investigation is ongoing.
Public intoxication — Officers responded on Oct. 27 to the call of a parked vehicle in the 3000 block of North U.S. Highway 75, with the engine not running. The male suspect had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. He admitted to being intoxicated. A suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Public intoxication — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 27 to the 1800 block of North U.S. Highway 75 in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, the officer found a male suspect to be intoxicated and walking in the middle of the roadway. The suspect was arrested and the charge of public intoxication was filed.
Failure to give notice upon striking highway fixture/landscaping — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 28 in reference to a crash in the 800 block of East Lamar Street. Officers arrived and observed a silver Dodge that had crashed into an awning and damaged a nearby parked car.
Theft of property — An officer responded on Oct. 28 to a female complainant in the 3800 block of Town Center Street in reference to a theft. She stated that her wallet was stolen while she was inside a business. She said she set her wallet down, left the area, and when she came back, the wallet was gone. A report for theft of property from $100 to $750 was generated.
Assault by contact — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 28 to the 2800 block of North U.S. Highway 75 in reference to a family violence disturbance. Both parties (husband and wife) allege that they were assaulted by the other by pushing or striking. Neither party had any physical injury. A report for assault by contact/family violence was completed.
Driving with license invalid — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 28 to a parking lot in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway to investigate a crash. Upon arrival, they determined that one of the drivers did not have insurance or a driver’s license. Charges were filed against the male suspect for driving while license invalid and without proof of financial responsibility.
