Grayson County Commissioners will discuss a request Tuesday from Sheriff Tom Watt to allow him to accept a gift for his office.

Commissioners will consider allowing Watt to accept a gift of $15,000 to purchase LexisNexis for the sheriff’s office. The commissioners will consider that request at their regularly scheduled meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. at the Grayson County Courthouse in Sherman.

Commissioners will also consider approving a resolution supporting the submission of a grant to the Texas Department of Agriculture for the Tri County Senior Nutrition Project, Inc. doing business as Meals on Wheels.

Additionally, county leaders will discuss declaring a compactor from Precinct 1 as surplus for “trade in” as presented. They will also consider approving the final plat for Blackhorn Meadow and a resolution accepting Blackthorn Drive as a county maintained road and establishing a speed limit of 30 miles per hour.
