Sherman Police

Theft — An officer made telephone contact on Jan. 23 with a female reporting party in reference to a theft. A white male suspect entered a store located in the 3500 block of Town Center Street on Jan. 21. Once inside the vestibule area of the store, the white male selected a black and brown wooden bar stool valued at $118. Once the bar stool was selected, the male suspect exited the store. On the same date, the male suspect returned back inside the store and walked to a cash register, where he attempted to return the bar stool for a store refund. The male suspect exited the store. A report for theft was generated.

Burglary — An officer spoke with a victim via telephone on Jan. 23 regarding a burglary of a habitation in the 700 block of South Ricketts Street. The victim reported that sometime this month, an unknown person burglarized her deceased mother’s residence, and took jewelry items. A report for the burglary of a habitation was completed.

Possession of marijuana — An officer was working at a school in the 2200 block of East Lamar on Jan. 23, when he was informed of a suspect who might possess marijuana. The suspect was located, and admitted to having the marijuana. The suspect was placed under arrest and taken to the Grayson County Jail.
