Theft — Sherman Police Department dispatched an officer on Jan. 16 to the 1400 block of Yarborough Drive in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, it was found that sometime on Jan. 15 or Jan. 16, an unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle, and took property without the owner’s consent. A report was made for the burglary of a motor vehicle and the theft of a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
Criminal attempt burglary of building — A business in the 5600 block of Texoma Parkway reported on Jan. 16 that someone had entered its fenced compound and damaged property over the weekend. A report was taken for criminal trespass.
Theft — An officer spoke with a male on Jan. 16 in the 3400 block of West Post Oak Crossing in reference to a theft. The male said someone stole $110 in cash from him sometime during the weekend. A report was generated for theft of property $100 to $750.
Criminal mischief — Sherman Police dispatched an officer on Jan. 16 to the 800 block of West Laurel Street in reference to criminal mischief. Upon arrival, it was found that an unknown actor cut the electrical and copper lines to an air conditioning condensing unit, causing damage. A report was completed for criminal mischief $100 to $750.
Theft — An officer made telephone contact with a male complainant on Jan. 16 in reference to a theft. Sometime on Jan. 9, a suspect removed a key fob from the back seat of his vehicle. At the time the incident occurred, the vehicle had been located in the 3600 block of Texoma Parkway. A report for theft was generated.
Criminal mischief — Sherman Police dispatch received a call on Jan. 16 from the 1600 block of South Crockett Street in reference to criminal mischief. An officer was dispatched to the scene. An investigation was conducted, and a criminal mischief report was generated.
Burglary — Officers were dispatched on Jan. 16 to the 300 block of Archer Drive in reference to a burglary of a habitation. The victim stated sometime between Jan. 4 and Jan. 9, someone had broken into his apartment and stolen several electronics. The victim stated approximately $620 worth of items was taken. A report for burglary of habitation was taken for the incident. As of this time, the investigation is ongoing.
Burglary — Sherman officers responded to the 800 block of East Martin Lane on Jan. 16 in reference to a burglary. Upon investigating, officers found that someone entered the residence and removed several electronics. A report was generated for the burglary of a habitation. The investigation is ongoing.
Criminal trespass — Sherman Police dispatch received a call on Jan. 17 from the 500 block of West Lamar Street in reference to a criminal trespass. An officer was dispatched to the scene. A suspect was identified as having a criminal trespass warning from this business. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
