The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested an alleged methamphetamine dealer after authorities conducted several undercover drug buys.

Nickey Montgomery, 33, was arrested last week and booked into the Fannin County Jail for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance less than 1 gram in a drug-free zone, a second charge of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, and possession of a controlled substance between 4 grams and 200 grams. Bond was set at $105,000.

“We’ve been making some drug buys off him for awhile,” Fannin County Sheriff Mark Johnson said.

Johnson said Montgomery was the subject of an ongoing investigation and Narcotics Unit officers made several undercover drug buys from him. A news release says, Montgomery was located in Bonham and arrested with about $500 worth of meth in his possession. Johnson said Montgomery had about 10 grams of meth on him when he was arrested Thursday.

Bonham Police assisted in the arrest, the release notes. Montgomery was also on probation in Fannin County for a burglary of habitation — felony conviction.

“He’s safely tucked into the Fannin County crossbar Hilton,” Johnson said referring to the Fannin County Jail.
