BELLS — A vehicle rolled off the roadway near Bells after the driver lost control due to icy road conditions Friday afternoon.


A Ford SUV was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 69, south of Savage Road. At about 12:45 p.m., the driver lost control of the vehicle and it veered off the roadway to the east side, first responders on scene said.


The vehicle rolled to its side and came to a stop with its front facing north. The vehicle’s two people were not injured in the wreck, Bells medics said. A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper responded and investigated the crash.


Shortly after this crash occurred, another wreck was reported on Highway 69 in Whitewright. Three vehicles collided near Bois D Arc Street, and no one was injured. Whitewright Police investigated the second wreck.
