Nancy Danette (Dee) Harley

The family of Nancy Danette (Dee) Harley announces with great sorrow her passing on Friday, July 29, 2022.

Danette was born to Daniel and Nancy Harley in Lawton, Oklahoma, on November 12, 1959. She attended Denison High School and sang with the Hanson Headaches Choir.

Dee married James Earl Simons, nestled down, and had three sons: Jason Earl, James Daniel, and Jacob William. In addition, the two share a daughter Angela Reston.

Danette worked for Southwestern bell for several years. She then did what her heart was meant for, taking on the full-time role of a loving mother to her three sons and two precious family members. There were always extra feet under her kitchen table at mealtime because she was an excellent cook. She was extraordinarily creative and always had homemade gifts for her neighbors, friends, and family. Anytime you were around her, you vowed to be a kinder, more gentle person.

Her father, William Daniel Harley, and her husband, James Earl Simons, preceded her death.

Danette leaves behind sons James Daniel Simons of Denison, TX, James Earl Simons and wife Helen of Geiger town, PA, Jacob William Simons and wife Eliesha of Colbert, Ok., daughter Angela Reston and wife Aspen of Anna, TX, mother Nancy Day of Denison, TX, sister Carolyn Deann Aynes and husband Devin of Denison, TX, sister-in-law Easter Lee Parks of Forney TX, brother-in-law James Franklin Parks of Forney, TX, five grandchildren Attikus Simons, Summer Kennedy, Jett Reston, Bowie Reston and Brayden James Lee Parks and many other family and friends that will truly miss her outlook on life and her warm and gentle smile.

Memorial service held will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Denison, Texas.
