Millie Ann (Baker) Thompson of Denison, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Celebrations Assisted Living Facility at the age of 91.

She was born February 17, 1932, to Joseph and Jimmie Broughton Baker in Southmayd, Texas. Millie married Laverne E. Thompson, May 16, 2002, in Crowley, Texas and celebrated 18 years of marriage before his passing on April 1, 2021. Millie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very devoted to her family. She worked as an extraordinary seamstress, creating beautiful wedding gowns, formals and alterations for many years. She loved playing card games, socializing with her friends and family, reading and touring across the country with her husband in their RV.

She is survived by her loving children, Dennis and Pat Reeves of Sherman, Rick and Patsy Reeves of Sherman, Sam and Kelly Reeves of Fort Worth, Joe Holton of Hamby and Lynn Gallagher of Fort Worth. She had many grandchildren who loved her dearly, Kim Moore, Ryan (Shelley) Reeves, Hunter Reeves, Tyler Reeves, Tina Clayton, Lisa (Mike) Adams, Michaeleen Huckaby, Michael Remualdo, Chris Holton and Paul (Ginger) Holton. Many greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister-in-law (Clara Baker) and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Laverne Thompson and many siblings. A gathering will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church, 222 West Taylor Street, Sherman, TX 75092.
