Learning to move through and past the grief of losing a loved one is the focus of the upcoming "Healing Your Mind, Body & Soul" workshop being hosted by Home Hospice of Grayson County. The free, four-part workshop will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Aug. 10, 17, 23 and 31 at Fusion Bible Church, 2515 West Lamberth Road in Sherman.

The workshop will show participants how grief affects one’s life and will include discussions on the many aspects of grief.

"Grief can show itself through a myriad of ways - physical symptoms, emotional issues or spiritual needs," says Jerryd Wallace, spiritual care counselor for home hospice. "One of the goals for this program is to help those facing these difficult days to begin to heal while learning and growing with others who are also experiencing grief."

Martha Townsend, an attendee of a past workshop adds, "It really helped me. There were people there that had lost their soul mate too. It was something that we were all going through, something that we were all fighting to overcome and it was good to share our experiences."

Registration for the workshop is requested by Aug. 7. For information and/or to register, call Jolene Senek at 903-868-9315 or send an email to jolene.senek@homehospice.org. For information on other home hospice programs, visit www.homehospice.org.
