IRVING - The competition team of Kristina’s Studio of Dance brought home high marks after taking part in The Edge Talent Competition at the Singley Academy Performing Arts Center in Irving. The event drew dance students from studios throughout north Texas, presenting more than 300 routines.

IRVING - The competition team of Kristina’s Studio of Dance brought home high marks after taking part in The Edge Talent Competition at the Singley Academy Performing Arts Center in Irving. The event drew dance students from studios throughout north Texas, presenting more than 300 routines.


The team earned three platinum first awards, six high gold first awards and eight high gold awards. Six routines place in the overall rankings, including one first place overall, two second places, a fourth place, a fifth place and a 10th place overall. The team also earned two Cutting Edge team invitations and three Judges’ Awards.


Solo awards were as follows: Trinity Williams - a platinum first award, a Judges’ Entertainment award and placed first overall among Future Edge Petite soloists with her age 6 character solo; Anthony McKinney - a platinum first award and 10th overall among Senior Competitive Edge for his age 19 funk/hip hop solo; Emerson Williams - a platinum first award and ranked second place overall among Petite Competitive Edge soloists for her age 8 jazz solo; and high gold awards went to Sarah Carr for age 12 lyrical, Sarah Dardaganian for age 9 jazz, Trinity Lau for age 11 jazz and Leah Paveloff for age 17 jazz. Anthony McKinney and Emerson Williams were also invited to perform with the Cutting Edge Dance Team at the national competition.


Earning a high gold award and ranked second overall among Junior Competitive Edge lines was the age 11 jazz line. Making up the line were Lauren Bell, Kaylee Brand, Alyssa Carr, Sarah Carr, Jacob Cherrier, Katey Cooper, Sarah Dardaganian, Abigail Dick, Amanda Griffin, Suzanna Griffin, Brittany Hampton, Kaylee Hampton, Ally Harris, Kaytlyn Hensley, Jennah Herridge, Alaina Hooker, Chloe Koberowski, Trinity Lau, Anthony McKinney, Kaitlyn Morgan, Bethany O’Neal, Leah Paveloff, Addison Sparks, Ella West, Trinity Williams, Emerson Williams and Payton Williams.


The age 5 character group of Madison Brees, Kynlee Chalker, Tabitha Hennessey, and Macy Jaresh earned a high gold first award and fourth place overall among Future Edge Petite Small Groups. Earning a high gold first award and fifth overall among Future Edge Petite Small groups was the age 4 jazz group of Isabella Gilmore, Madison Lindsey, Giselle Nararro, Raigan Sluder and Bella Stevens.


A high gold first award and a Judges’ Entertainment Award went to the age 9 Competitive Edge Jazz Group of Kaylee Brand, Alyssa Carr, Sarah Carr, Jacob Cherrier, Sarah Dardaganian, Suzanna Griffin, Amanda Griffin, Kaylee Hampton, Ally Harris, Jennah Herridge, Alaina Hooker, Chloe Koberowski, Trinity Lau, Kaitlyn Morgan, Trinity Williams and Emerson Williams.


The age 14 character group of Lauren Bell, Katey Cooper, Brittney Hampton, Kaytlyn Hensley, Anthony McKinney, Bethany O’Neal, Leah Paveloff, Addison Sparks, Ella West and Payton Williams earned a high gold first award and a Judges’ Entertainment Award.


The age 11 open group of Sarah Carr, Jacob Cherrier, Jennah Herridge and Trinity Lau and the age 11 musical theater duet of Jacob Cherrier and Trinity Lau earned high gold first awards. The age 14 group of Lauren Bell, Katey Cooper, Brittney Hampton, Katylyn Hensley, Bethany O’Neal, Leah Paveloff, Addison Sparks, Ella West and Payton Williams earned high gold awards their contemporary, lyrical, and jazz routines.
