Home Hospice of Grayson County is hosting its 10th annual golf tournament at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro this Friday. The tournament will be a four-person scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shot gun.

"This is a great opportunity to enjoy a great round of golf, good friends and support a great cause," said Kayla Click co-chair of this year’s event.

There is still room for more teams or single golfers, but spaces are filling quickly. Golfers receive green fees, carts, prizes, and a lunch of hamburgers and beer for $100 a player. Golfers will have a chance to win a new car for a hole-in-one, along with other prizes throughout the course. Winners will receive cash prizes.

"We are extremely grateful to all of our sponsors who have helped make this event a possibility," said Sherry Little, Executive Director of Home Hospice "We feel blessed to serve the people of this community at end-of-life, and we feel blessed to have a community that believes in our mission. The funds raised through this exciting, fun event are used to provide care to those in our communities who are dying without benefit of insurance or financial resources for care at this important time of life; and the number of our neighbors in need are growing everyday."

Home Hospice is this area’s only non-profit hospice provider. It founded in 1982, dedicated to providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care at the end-of-life for patients, their families, and caregivers regardless of ability to pay, as well as to offer comfort to all in the community who are grieving.
