Friends of the Sherman Public Library

The Friends of the Sherman Public Library will host a book review luncheon Dec. 4 in the Hope Waller Community Room of the library. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m., with the review beginning at noon. Seating is limited and reservations are required. There is no cost to attend, but donations are welcome. Call the Sherman Public Library at 903-892-7240 for reservations.

Margaret McCord will be presenting the review. McCord is a graduate of Sherman High School and Austin College and earned her master’s degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is a pre-school teacher at the First Methodist School for Little People and works with the Grayson Literacy Team. She has taught in Sherman public schools and at Sst. Mary’s in Sherman. McCord and her husband, Kenneth, have three children and six grandchildren.

GCC Retired School Personnel

Grayson College Retired School Personnel will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 4 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Sherman. The south meeting room has been reserved for the group and all retired Grayson College personnel, their spouses and guests are encouraged to attend.

The Grayson College Retired School Personnel have been invited to attend the monthly breakfast on Dec. 6. The gathering will be from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. in the Grayson College student center.
