Linda Fay Armstrong went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2023. She was born in Sherman, Texas on May 3, 1941, to John Adler and Ruby Fay (Nix) Monday.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Denison High School. She had fond memories of being a “soda jerk” when she was young. She worked for the Denison Herald for 4 years bef ore she became a Tupperware sales lady for 4 years. She then became a fulltime wife and mom. In 1979, Linda went to work for the Denison ISD. She retired after 33 years of service. Linda was a faithful member of Park Avenue Church of Christ. She will always be remembered for her gentle and servant heart.
She was a friend to everyone she met; making sure everyone around her felt loved and comfortable. Her many hobbies included gardening, sewing, cross-stitch, quilting, scrapbooking, and baking delicious pies. But what brought her the most joy was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Family meant the world to her. Linda is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lewis Edward Armstrong, son Bryan Armstrong of Pottsboro, son Brett Armstrong and wife Zella of Denton, grandson Dylan Armstrong (25), granddaughters Mac- Kenzie Armstrong (22) and Jenna Armstrong (20). Funeral services for Mrs. Armstrong will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Park Avenue Church of Christ with Minister Todd Catteau officiating.
Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Family and friends will gather to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
