Mt. Olive Baptist Church to celebrate Back to Church Sunday


DENISON — Mt. Olive Baptist Church will celebrate its third year of National Back to Church Sunday at 10 a.m. Sunday. The theme will be, “Let’s do this… Together.”


National Back to Church Sunday was created to invite those who have a church home but have not attended in a while and those who do not have a church home or have never been to church.


The service will be held outside on the gymnasium parking lot and Christian casual attire is recommended. Food, fun and games will follow the service.

Trinity Lighthouse Church joins Adopt-a-Cop program


DENISON — Trinity Lighthouse Church has agreed to be an official sponsor in the Texoma Adopt-a-Cop program.


The purpose of Adopt-a-Cop is to assign law enforcement officers to a family, group or individual who will pray daily for them and send a not of encouragement to them.

Emmanuel Baptist Church to mark anniversary with celebration


DENISON — Emmanuel Baptist Church will celebrate sixty-six years of ministry with a homecoming celebration at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.


The service will include a live one act play, special recognition of former pastor Earl H. Olgesbee and a message from new pastor Mark Wildt.


Dinner will be provided by the church following the service. Everyone is welcome, with a special emphasis on all who have been a part of Emmanuel’s ministry over the years.
