New Testament Bible Church celebrates pastors’ anniversary

DENISON — New Testament Bible Church will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pastors Billy W. Milam and George Etta Milam at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.

Pastor Ron Shaw of the Light Church in Dallas will be the speaker at 11 a.m.

Bishop Charles Brown of New Birth Cathedral of Praise in Sherman will speak at the 4 p.m. service.

DENISON — Alpha & Omega Community Baptist Church will celebrate its 18th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Pastor Manuel Gardner and the Antioch church family will be special guests.

Churches are invited to bring their choir and/or soloist to render a selection praising God.

Hungry for more Jesus presents Bible study

SHERMAN — The Hungry for More Jesus Bible Study Group will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grandy’s Restaurant in Sherman.

The study will be conducted by Mrs. Alma Bazemore of Sherman. Mrs. Bazemore holds an A.A. degree from Pacific Bible College.

Bazemore has sung abroad in Scotland. After returning to Sherman in 2010 she became a member of North Park Baptist Church, where she sings in the choir and serves in the encouragement ministry. She is also a hospice volunteer and a prayer intercessor.

Under the direction of Minister Effie Bowden, the Bible study is open to the public. Grandy’s Restaurant is located at 3201 Texoma Parkway in Sherman.

Baha’i community celebrates Holy Day

DENISON — The Denison/Sherman Baha’i communities will gather from 2:30-4:45 p.m. Saturday in the Denison Public Library to celebrate the birth of Baha’u’llah, prophet-founder of the Baha’i faith.

A brief introduction of the Baha’i faith will be followed by the movie, “The Gate,” a documentary telling the story of the Bab, Prophet-herald of Baha’u’llah and the origins of a new era in world religion.
