While there are several activities going on in Grayson County this weekend, there are also a few activities taking place in other areas of Texoma. Eisenhower State Park and Grayson College will be hosting events Friday and Saturday. Take a trip into Oklahoma to see come concerts or take a trip into the Dallas area to see the latest bridal trends this weekend. No matter where you want to be in the area, there is an event going on. Here are five events to liven the end of the week.

1. Fishing on the river

Eisenhower State Park in Denison will be teaching park patrons how to fly fish on Saturday. The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. The class will teach interested parties how to cast and how to tie a fly from the Red River Fly Fishers. Meet at the Deer Haven Rec Hall at the park. While the class starts at 1 p.m., there will be fly tying all day. This program is free with a paid park entrance fee of $5 per person for 13 years of age and older.

2. Enjoy art

Grayson College is unveiling a new art exhibit this weekend. The artists reception for the The Up-Cycled/Recycled/Re-purposed Art Exhibition will be held Friday. Come to the Grayson College Visual Arts Department from 6-7 p.m. Friday to visit with featured artists and take in some refreshments. Grayson College will be taking works for the upcoming Black, White, and Variants of Gray XVII Exhibit starting on Feb. 12.

3. Trending brides

Dallas will hold its annual bridal show this weekend. To see 2018 wedding trends, find vendors, and visit with representatives from more than 300 wedding-related businesses, take a trip to Dallas Market Hall Saturday or Sunday. Tickets start at $12. 4. Born Free

Grammy award nominee and “Devil Without a Cause” singer Kid Rock will be in Texoma this weekend. Playing a series of concerts at Choctaw Casino and Resort, Kid Rock will be performing at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit ticketmaster.com.

5. Mr. 305

Mr. 305 also known as Mr. Worldwide and better known as Pitbull has decided to take his talents to Oklahoma. A rapper, singer, actor and record producer, Pitbull will be performing at WinStar World Casino and Resort this weekend.
