James “Sonny” Poe, 86, died Wednesday Morning in Denison at his home. Sonny was born in Denison on November 27, 1936. After High School he joined the Navy and served 4 years. He returned to Denison and be- gan a career at Pillsbury Company that spanned 32 years. He married Glenda Ketner on December 15th, 1967, and was married until her death in 2003.

He loved to Gamble. Las Vegas was one of his favorite places. Whether it was Golf, Poker, Bowling, or any- thing competitive, he loved to make it more interesting. He was an accomplished golfer and always had a game going somewhere.

He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda and his Daughter Sherry Garson. He is survived by his son Mike Ketner, of Chandler AZ, his son Ted Dyer, of Arlington, TX and his grandchildren Alexandra Ketner (Chandler AZ), Caitlin Leven, of Philadelphia, PA, and Josh Gar- son, of Houston, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 Friday February 24th at Fisher Funeral Home, 604 W. Main, Denison, TX 75020.
