Jake Loy Goldston, 84 years of age, passed away June 12, 2022, in Sadler, Texas.
Loy was born to the late Herman and Lois Goldson in Sherman, Texas on October 2, 1937. He was a veteran of the US Army and loved going fishing. Loy was a active member of the Dorchester Baptist Church for many years. He began working for GTE as a Lineman and retired after 30+ years in a management position with the company.
He is survived by his son, Jim Goldston, daughter; Susie Martin, daughter; Tammye Corbin, daughter; Donna Bellamy, son; Danny Ray, daughter; Vanessa Walters, sister in-law; Imogene Henshaw and husband Wilbur, brother in-law; Altis Ham and wife Ginger, and his 13 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grand Children, and 1 great-great grandson.
Loy was preceded in death by his wife; Patsy Ruth Goldston; brothers, Troy Goldston, Leon Goldson, Delton Goldston, and Johnny Goldston, his sisters, Mildred Ferguson, and Edna Tuley, and Lorene Shelton.
Visitation will be held Tuesday June 17, 2022, 6-8pm at Waldo Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wed June 18, 2022, 1pm at Waldo Funeral Home. Brother Bobby Fletcher will officiate. Burial will follow at Dixie Cemetery Whitesboro, Texas.
