The Sherman Rotary Club & the United Way of Grayson County are proud to share our new partnership to support the Imagination Library program. This program delivers free books to young children in Grayson County.
The Imagination Library of Grayson County, launched in the fall of 2023, has already mailed nearly 30,000 age-appropriate books directly to local children’s homes — fostering a love of reading and laying the foundation for future learning.
The Imagination Library is a program created by Dolly Parton that provides free books monthly to children from birth to age five, regardless of family income. Through this new partnership, Sherman Rotary Club & United Way of Grayson County will help expand access to the program and provide critical funding and volunteer support to help reach even more children in Grayson County.
“We are thrilled to join forces with the Sherman Rotary Club,” said Katie Eubank, Executive Director of United Way of Grayson County. “Their commitment to service and education aligns perfectly with the mission of the Imagination Library — to inspire a lifelong love of reading and give every child the opportunity to succeed.”
The Sherman Rotary Club, a fixture in the community since 1923, has a long history of supporting education, youth development, and community enrichment. By partnering with the Imagination Library of Grayson County, the Club is continuing its legacy of investing in the next generation.
“Literacy is one of the most powerful tools we can give a child,” said Greg Pittman, President of Sherman Rotary Club. “We believe that putting books into the hands of young children opens the door to a brighter future, and we’re honored to be a part of that journey.”
100% of donations made to the Imagination Library of Grayson County are used to pay for books. Additional financial support is needed for the program. For only $31.20 you can sponsor a child’s books for the whole year! Donate today at https://www.zeffy.com/…/donate-to-make-a-difference-9606
