CELEBRATING 42 years of serving generations of families in our community!!
Home Hospice of Grayson County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1982 as the first and only hospice in our service area. We remain to this day, the only non-profit hospice and the only Five-Star rated hospice serving the counties north of the DFW area: Grayson, Cooke, Fannin, Collin, Hunt, Denton and Montague. We’ve received the HOSPICE HONORS family satisfaction award for eight straight years since it started in 2016. The community voted us First Place in Hospice Care – Best of Texoma for the past six years. And the community voted our At The Treehouse Resale Store #1 for the past three years. For 2024, we’ve been ranked in the Top 20% nationally for all hospice organizations.
Our Community Center for Grief and Loss serves North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The center offers 1-on-1 counseling, support groups, art therapy, children’s groups, veteran’s support and Spanish-speaking support groups. We offer the following programs and services: Hospice and Pathways Palliative care, Bereavement Center, Camp Dragonfly, We Honor Veterans, Veteran Appreciation Ceremonies and a long list of community education.
We are only a phone call away and always here for you.
Special Words from a patient’s spouse– Hospice Care
“My husband had slowly progressed in his Dementia until he was no longer able to function well. At first, we had caregiver support but as his condition worsen, we called hospice. What a blessing they were to our entire family from the minute we called to the final time with the nurse I felt safe. My angels are the only word that can describe them. They have been an amazing blessing to me and my precious husband. Nothing can make the death of someone you love easy but they made it peaceful. Every visit was like a hug. I never felt when they came to take care of my husband that it was their job but it was their privilege. Thank you so much, I am forever grateful.”
