Geraldine also known a Gerry, Mom, Grandma, GIGI, and Friend, was born on March 6, 1937, in Kaufman, Texas and passed away leaving this world to arrive at her eternal home in the arms of our God and Savior on February 13, 2022, in Denison, Texas. She was born to Leonard and Mary Smallwood. And married to Jimmy Campbell for 25 years.
Geraldine graduated from East Texas State University with a master’s in accounting. She worked at Nabisco, Denison District Telephone Credit Union, and Sexton’s Tax service.
Geraldine was devoted to her church Hyde Park Presbyterian and was the treasurer for the church for over 20 years and also served as an elder. She was very involved in the Frontier Village for a period of time. She was also very involved with sorority Beta Signa Phi in many ways. And volunteered at many other organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Donald Smallwood.
Geraldine is survived by son Jerry W. Campbell and partner Khonda Bowling, granddaughter Andrea J. Gilmore and husband Jim, great granddaughter Audrey C. Grimes, granddaughter Ada S. Gonzales and husband Daniel, grandson Calab C. Bowling and wife Elizabeth, great granddaughters, Lily and Emmy Bowling, niece Karen Conner and family, and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sat., April 23, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to Hyde Park Presbyterian Church or Denison Animal Welfare Group.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
