George Raft Lichnovsky was born on February 22, 1936, i n McLennan County, Texas, to John and Sophie Lichnovsky and passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 86. George graduated from West High School in 1954. He served in the Air Force, specializing in Air Traffic Control Radar Repair, and would often speak about his time in the service.

George married Dorothy Essary in Waco, Texas, on November 15, 1963. He worked for Burlington Industries until the plant closed in 1986. At that time, George worked for smaller companies doing mechanical repairs. George could fix anything that had a

motor.

George loved his family and would spend countless Sundays barbequing chicken or pork chops while Dorothy cooked the side dishes. You never knew who might be there, so there was always plenty for family and friends. He also learned to play golf in his 50s and played until his health declined.

George is survived by three daughters, Debbie Skipworth and her husband Bubba of Sherman, Diane Powell and RL Calhoun of Sherman, Tina Goode and her husband Steve of Onalaska; 3 sons, Douglas Lichnovsky and wife Misty of Sherman, Donald Lichnovsky and Tonya Lowery of West, and Darrin Lichnovsky of Sherman; 5 grandchildren, Derek Skipworth and wife Carly, Erica Blankenship and fiancé Marcus Simpson of Sherman, Allen McMenamy of Sherman, Michelle Lichnovsky of Sherman, Chandler Lichnovsky of Sherman, Rebecca Lichnovsky of Sherman, Bryan Lichnovsky of West; many great-grandchildren; and brother Billy Lichnovsky and wife Erika of China Springs.

George was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lichnovsky, Larry Barbarick, Anita Spinks, and Stephanie Skipworth.

The family would like to thank Bobby Hawkins for officiating the graveside services, and pallbearers Dwayne Lichnovsky, Kendall Kerzee, Alfie Doss, Derek Skipworth, Bryan Lichnovsky, Chandler Lichnovsky, Heart-to-Heart Hospice for their kindness, and Waldo Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, from 6-8 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 18, at Bold Springs Cemetery in the city of West, TX.
