Frontier Days to celebrate Pottsboro heritage

“Cowboy Boots and Community Roots” will be the theme of this weekend’s Frontier Days in Pottsboro. The weekend event includes a parade, festival, car show and longtime favorite bug eating contest.

The parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday traveling down FM 120 towards Friendship Park, 520 FM 120, Pottsboro.

This event draws attendees from across Texoma and surrounding areas, making it a great opportunity for local businesses and organizations to get involved,” information about the event said.

The festival at Friendship Park will be the site of more than 100 vendor booths who will open for sales. Gates open at 9 a.m. The event ends at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Live music also starts at 10 a.m. Entertainers include Streetlight Gospel Band, Sunset Rockers and Greg Guymon.

The annual bug eating contest again take place and there will be food trucks on site.

There will also be a children’s area, face painting, arts and crafts and more.
