Fred Worthington III
Fred Worthington III passed away on November 4, 2022 at the age of 60 in Tucson, Arizona as a result of injuries he received from being hit by a pickup in a hit-and-run vehicle accident. Fred was born in Denison, Texas on June 1, 1962 to Fred Worthington, Jr and Dorothy Jean Worthington. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers Bobby Wayne Worthington, Gerald Alan Worthington, and Michael Olan Bowser. He is survived by his sisters Connie Bartolomey and her husband Fred of Cartwright, OK; Kathy Lovelace of Cartwright, OK; and Sheila Carpenter and her husband Mike of Denton, TX; and brother Jason McKenzie and his wife Eva from Royse City, TX; aunts Kathryn Jones of Fort Worth, TX and Wanda Rice, of Richmond Hill, GA; and numerous beloved cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Fred was a kind, loving, and funny man. Even though he did not have many monetary possessions, he would give anything to anyone if he could possibly help them out. This was carried through to his death when he selected to be an organ and tissue donor as an amazing gift to help save someone else’s life.
He will have a private celebration of life and scattering of ashes at a later date.
“While there is a heart in me, you will be part of me.”
