Fred Grigg

SHERMAN – Fred Grigg, a good ol’ country boy and longtime resident of Sherman, TX, peacefully passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2022, at the age of 59 in his home after receiving a congestive heart failure diagnosis just a few short weeks ago. Fred was born in Oklahoma City, OK on September 15, 1963, where he met his parents Robert and Maxine Grigg. On February 18, 1989, he married his wife, Kathy Grigg. A year later they started their family that included 3 daughters. He spent his working years welding, driving trucks, and as a crane operator. Recently retired, he got to spend the last few years traveling, hunting, and driving around on his gator as neighborhood patrol. He never met a gun or flashlight that he couldn’t live without. He enjoyed tending to his animals (especially his donkeys and turkey), mushroom hunting with his wife, hunting, fishing, and pestering everyone he could. Fred will be missed by many as he never met a stranger.

Fred is survived by his wife, Kathy Grigg (Sorrell); his children, Meagan Hollis (Grigg), Desirae Grigg, and Aliyah Kerr (Grigg); his grandchildren
Camden Hollis, Traeston Hollis, and Talayah Hollis; sister Denise Taylor; and nephews Christopher Ketcham and Brian Ketcham.

Visitation will be held at Pathway Church of God, 2001 E Lamar St., Sherman, TX 75090, Friday, April 15, 2022, between the hours of 2:00
pm – 4:00pm.
