Frances Olean Davis, 87, passed away peacefully at home on April 20th, 2022.
Olean was born to Harley and Bertie Jones in Childress, TX, on February 7th, 1935. She remained in Childress until she married William Ross Davis, Jr. on May 23rd, 1955, at which time she gained a son. While traveling the world to support her husband’s service to his country, she gave birth to three children, a daughter, and two sons. Her greatest joy was her work as a mother, grand
Her greatest joy was her work as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She attended the birth of every grandchild and great-grandchild with the exception of the most recent born several weeks ago, which is an impressive feat considering it required her to travel ranging from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lewisville, Texas, and as far as Guam. She supported her family through their many passions and trials in life, and her wit, sarcasm, and sense of humor were a blessing to all who loved her. Olean will forever be remembered as a magician in the kitchen and the consummate caretaker of children. She spent more than 20 years as Ms. Olean to all the Kiddie Kampus Kids. She enjoyed her time there so much that she returned after retirement and then had to retire again.
Her love for taking care of others extended to most recently include her favorite child, her miniature schnauzer, Mia. We will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by William Ross Davis, Jr. on March 25th,
