Four transported following single-vehicle wreck

Several agencies responded to help out Southmayd Police Department on a vehicle wreck that took place this weekend. In a news release issued this week, the department said the incident took place Sunday afternoon near Highway 289 and FM 902.
“The vehicle was occupied by four individuals,” the release said. “All four were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. One patient was airlifted by Air Ambulance to Medical Center Plano, while the remaining three were transported via ground ambulance to Sherman Medical Center.”
Five different agencies helped work the single-vehicle wreck.
“The Southmayd Police Department extends its sincere gratitude to all first responders who provided assistance at the scene, including Gunter Police and Fire Departments, Allegiance EMS, Howe Fire and EMS, Sherman Fire and EMS and Air Medicare.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. We ask the community to join us in praying for their full and speedy recovery.”
