Early voting continues in Grayson County

Early voting continues this week. Along with state constitution amendments, local entities will have measures on the ballot including bond elections, local officials and the Grayson County Assistance District no. 1.

Early voting began last Monday and will continue through Oct. 31.

Polls will be open for the final week of early voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 31.

554 individuals early voted on Monday and in the week prior, more than 2,800 individuals cast ballots.

On the ballot will be the 17 state propositions, Sherman City Council seats for District 1 and District 3; Grayson County Assistance District no. 1; Tom Bean ISD bond election; Van Alstyne ISD bond election; Howe Municipal Utility District no. 1 proposition A, B, C, D, E, F and directors; Dorchester special election proposition A; and Sadler local option liquor election.

The following locations will be open for Grayson County voters:

Bells City Hall, Council Chambers, 203 S. Broadway, Bells;

Grayson County Sub-Courthouse, JP courtroom, 101 W. Woodard, Denison;

Summit Gardens Event Center, main door, 100 E. O’Connell St., Howe;

St. John the Apostle Episcopal Church, main door, 760 W. FM 120, Pottsboro;

Election Administration, 115 W. Houston, Sherman;

Grayson College South Campus, library, room 119, 1455 W. Van Alstyne Pkwy, Van Alstyne;

Whitesboro City Hall, Council Chambers, 111 W. Main, Whitesboro.

The last day to register to vote was earlier this month, and the final day to submit an application for a mail ballot is Oct. 24.

On Election Day, the polls will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
