(1930-2022)
Dorla Dean Eudy was born on October 3, 1930, in Childress, Texas to Leonard and Clara (Darter) Eudy. She went home to Jesus on October 1, 2022, just two days shy of her 92nd birthday. She passed peacefully in her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.
After graduating from Sunset High School in Dallas in 1949, she took a job at Southwestern Bell. On May 1, 1951, Dorla married Wallace Weldon Walker from Sherman, TX. They had four children together, eventually settling in Sherman where she worked as a bank teller and then the accounting department at Johnson & Johnson where she retired after 25 years.
Throughout her life, Dorla showed her love of others through acts of service. She was very active in church and spent her free time fellowshipping with and taking care of others through various organizations including the Gamma Zeta Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, the American Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, Meals on Wheels, and the Grayson County Republican Party. She loved traditional hymns, crafts, yardwork, and playing cards with her dear friends. She was a woman of integrity and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, loyal to her friends and family, and a pillar of strength in difficult times.
