This week, local agencies showed their support for those in blue with a homecoming ceremony. Friday afternoon, the body of Denison officer Will Deering was brought back into the region in a memorial caravan on US Highway 75.
Deering died Aug. 17 after a short battle with leukemia.
“It is with a broken heart that we inform you of the passing of one of our own, Officer Will Deering, who lost his short-lived battle with leukemia earlier today,” the Denison Police Department said in a news release.
