Deborah K Ramsey Ball

Deborah K Ramsey Ball went to her heavenly home Monday, January 16, 2023, after an illness and injury sustained in October.

Debbie was born October 16, 1953, in Denison, Texas to Wilma (Harlan) and Clifton Lee Ramsey Sr. Debbie was raised in Denison and absolutely would NOT consider leaving. She attended Peabody, McDaniel & Denison Sr High. She found her best friends at Peabody Kathy & the two Debbie’s, who she cherished till her last day.

Debbie spent more than 40 years in the Real Estate industry beginning as a Realtor for Jim Perry Realty. Where she worked for many years with Brenda Quirolo a longtime friend. She then moved on to Coldwell Banker Real Estate firm where she eventually opened and managed the Denison Branch at the Katy Depot. There her friendships grew to include so many, but Marie & Norman became part of her “crew.” Her career brought her many accolades in 1995, she was Realtor of the Year, 1995-98, Greater Texoma Association of Realtors Board of Directors, Executive Officer, and 1998, President, GTAR Board of Directors.

Later, she shifted her career to the closing side of Real Estate and worked alongside Ron Vest who she loved and admired. In 2008, after suffering a brain aneurysm she was unable to return to her career, so she chose Cracker Barrel. There she could greet and meet many people and help them choose pretty things in the store. She loved her job and again; many more friends were added. About 10 years ago she started her last career and found joy in passing out tray at TMC. She was not just bringing meals to the patients; her mission was to make everyone smile and deliverer laughter with their meal. Debbie would pray over patients, and cry with their loved ones. She found her calling and had so hoped to return soon, but God called her home instead.

Debbie was affectionately known to most as Meme, she was truly a character. She loved to see people smile and be the reason for their laughter. Whether she was cracking jokes, or dancing with every limb in her body, she could brighten someone’s day. She was energetic, hardworking, warm-hearted, and always shared love and laughter. Although her passing leaves a void in all our lives, she will live on forever in our hearts.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and younger brother Lee, who passed just a month ago.

Debbie leaves behind her beloved family, daughter, Stacy Auten and husband Brent of Sherman, TX; son Jason Ball and wife Shawna of Cartwright, OK; grandchildren, Danny Jones, Dusty Conner, Lacy Jones, Cheyanna Barton, Dillon Ball, Noah Young, and 13 great grandchildren.
