Court Appointed Special Advocates of Grayson County is a non-profit organization dedicated to training and equipping community volunteers to protect children, empower families, and advocate for positive outcomes for those in the child welfare system. Since 1993, advocates have been appointed by District Court Judges to serve as Guardian Ad Litems for children experiencing trauma related to abuse and neglect. The children and families within the Child Welfare System come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, physical abilities, and languages. Children who face removal from their homes not only endure the trauma of abuse or neglect but also the pain of separation from their families. These children desperately need someone to fight for their best interests.
