The next meeting of the Grayson County Historical Society will be held Tues., Sept. 9. The public is invited to attend the meeting in the community room at Frontier Village.

The guest speaker is T’ata Begay of Celebrating Choctaw Lifeways Through Song, Dance, and Instrumentation. T’ata Begay will lead attendees through the deep-rooted relationship between the Choctaw community and its songs, dances, and musical expressions—highlighting how these practices continue to thrive and change today. This overview will celebrate the resilience and vibrancy of Choctaw heritage, providing insight into how these traditions link generations and maintain identity.
The doors open at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
