Sherman High School will celebrate Homecoming this coming week, as the Bearcats take on the McKinney North Bulldogs on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium.
The fun begins earlier in the week with the annual Homecoming Parade in downtown Sherman on Wednesday, Sept. 17 starting at 6 p.m.
The whole community is invited to line the streets as parade participants travel along W. Mulberry St., N. Travis St., W. Houston St., N. Crockett St. and W. Pecan St. before ending back at Lucy Kidd-Key Park outside the Sherman Municipal Building and Bearcat Stadium.
Following the parade, everyone is invited to stick around for food, music and activities for the whole family! First United Bank will be grilling up burgers donated by Tyson Foods and providing buns, chips, water and other supplies.
On Thursday, September 18 at 6 p.m., the community is invited to attend the Homecoming Revue in the Sherman High School auditorium, 2907 W. Travis Street. Meet the Homecoming King and Queen nominees and find who made the short list for Homecoming royalty!
Single-game tickets for Friday’s football game can be purchased online starting at 8 a.m. Monday morning at www.shermanisd.net/athletics/tickets. They will also be sold at the gate Friday night. Be sure to come early to see who’s crowned Homecoming King and Queen to celebrate the student finalists!
