TxDOT announces end-of-year projects
Coming into the final weeks of the year, the Texas Department of Transportation released some of the final projects the department will be working on heading into the new year. In a news release issued Friday, the department noted additional work on US Highway 75, more crack sealing and US Highway 82.

David Hawley retires as Justice of the Peace in Precinct 2
One of Grayson County's longest serving employees has decided it is time to spend more time with his family. Grayson County Justice of the Peace in Precinct 2 David Hawley will leave office at the end of December after serving the residents of Grayson County in one capacity or another for 43 years, 34 of which were spent at the Sheriff's Office.

Sory Elementary hosts first leadership day, highlights traits
Students at Sory Elementary showcased what it means to be a leader Thursday when the school hosted its first school leadership day. The day represented the culmination of efforts to implement new leadership programming within the school over the past two years.
